Bishop Kearney High School has emerged as a national leader in developing elite student-athletes through its renowned Hockey Program. In just nine years, every graduate of the U19 program has advanced to NCAA Division I or III hockey—many to prestigious conferences such as the Ivy League, Big Ten, and NESCAC. Several alumni have gone on to represent their countries at the highest levels of international competition, including the Olympic Games.

The current U19 roster is composed of a diverse, globally represented group of student-athletes whose relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence define the program. Many team members are not only standout athletes but also scholars, recognized by the National Honor Society and the high honor roll for their academic accomplishments.

“This White House invitation is an extraordinary honor and a powerful acknowledgment of what our student-athletes have achieved through discipline, character, and unity,” said Bishop Kearney President Paul Colontino. “We are thrilled for our players to be recognized on a national stage—not just as athletes, but as leaders, scholars, and role models.”

The visit will include a private tour of the White House and an opportunity for the team to engage with President Trump, celebrating the championship season and the team’s contributions to the growing future of women’s hockey in America.

"We’re incredibly honored to be recognized by the White House and invited to celebrate our national championship,” said Bella Fanale, one of the team captains. “This experience is something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives, and it’s a true testament to the hard work and dedication we have put in all year.”
Bishop Kearney, a Catholic school for grades 6-12 that draws students from around the world, continues to shape the next generation of strong, empowered leaders, serving as a transformative incubator for excellence in sport, academics, and life.
