Michelle Cain '90

Michelle Cain, a 1990 graduate of Bishop Kearney, was recruited to the Bishop Kearney Board of Directors in 2010 at the urging of Donna Dedee and Carm Urzetta. She started with the Board on the Finance Committee and is now Board Treasurer.
 
Michelle has watched Bishop Kearney go through many ups and downs and transitions over the past fifteen years and is excited to be a part of it. She has been able to see the good that comes from the changes at Bishop Kearney and believes she will always be involved with BK in some fashion. She said, “It feels good when you can step back and see the people you are helping.”
 
Michelle is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo, earning her CPA. Michelle has succeeded in an industry that was predominantly male dominated when she began her career, showcasing her determination, fortitude and perseverance . She said she essentially “grew up in the business”. Michelle has over 30 years of experience in the industry and is a Partner at MMB+CO. She was the first female partner in Rochester and serves as Chair of MMB+CO’s Assurance Department, specializing in the not-for-profit sector.
 
In addition to her commitment to Bishop Kearney, Michelle is Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Holy Childhood, a member of the Business Advisory Council of the School of Business at Geneseo, and a member of 100+ Women Who Care-Rochester, NY.
Michelle and her husband, Tom, have two adult children.
 
Michelle commented that she only says “yes” to an organization when she can give them 100%. We are grateful that Michelle has committed her 100% to Bishop Kearney!
