Core Plus Curriculum Overview
Kearney | Golisano Core Plus curriculum is designed to provide students with tools to succeed in the real world. Our Core Plus courses-a menu of relevant course electives--build upon the foundation established by integrating key themes into our Core curriculum.
In the new Core, concepts related to topics such as Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Technology/Computers, Personal Finance, Investments and Banking and Introduction to Business, are linked with the traditional Core curriculum of English, History, Math, Science, Foreign Language, Art/Music, and Religion. This new integrative approach makes the Core taken by every student at Kearney ¦Golisano more relevant to real world applications.
On top of the Core offerings, the additional Core Plus courses provide the springboard to help students achieve in areas typically not addressed by secondary education systems. Students become more well-rounded, and able to achieve in the workplace and in life, they gain confidence and, in some instances, earn college credit. Core Plus courses are broken into three areas of concentration.
