Admissions and Transfers
Admissions Process
Admissions at Bishop Kearney are on a rolling basis and proceed according to the following sequence:
- Applicants must submit completed application, including student essay, teacher recommendation, and transcripts to Bishop Kearney's admissions office.
- Applicants should register and sit for the entrance exam at Bishop Kearney.
- Once all application materials are received admissions decisions are made quickly.
Notes for Bishop Kearney applicants:
We encourage all applicants to sign up for a shadow day (optional but strongly recommended) A shadow day is an important part of the decision-making process for the prospective applicants.
All application items must be signed and dated by parents when required.
Transfer Applications
A transfer applicant is defined as a student who intends to leave his/her current school to enter Bishop Kearney at the start of his/her eighth grade, sophomore or junior year. Except for rare exceptions Bishop Kearney does not accept transfers into senior year.
Transfer applications are handled on a case-by-case basis, and transfer applicants should contact the Admissions office to discuss their specific situation.
Please contact Fred Tillinghast with any questions or to request an information packet. We look forward to the opportunity to meet you and help you to experience what Bishop Kearney has to offer.
