Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence in our Community
Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence in Our Community!
This year marks Bishop Kearney High School’s 50th Anniversary of the school’s opening in the fall of 1962.
“Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence in our Community” reflects the impact Bishop Kearney High School has had on Rochester and communities around the world in regards to the achievements and contributions of its alumni, students, faculty and staff.
A year-long celebration of our golden anniversary will include a variety of events, leading up to the 50th Anniversary Gala on September 21, 2012 to be held at Locust Hill Country Club. Other events will include special ceremonies at Kearney athletic events, musical performances, the Bishop Kearney Alumni Golf Scholarship Tournament, and much more. This web site will provide information and updates on all activities surrounding the 50th Anniversary year.
Since 1962, Bishop Kearney has empowered young men and women to reach their full potential academically, spiritually, and socially by providing a college preparatory, values based Catholic education in a student centered family atmosphere. Bishop Kearney students have excelled in the classroom, on the playing field, in the arts, and through service to others in the community. Their achievements speak to the character, values and aspirations that embody Bishop Kearney.
Beginning with the Pioneer Class of 1966, alumni have credited their Bishop Kearney education to be the foundation for their successes in college, in their careers and in life. Many have gone on to become highly accomplished in their chosen fields. Among our alumni are CEOs, business owners, elected officials, members of the armed forces, educators, scientists, and even a Space Shuttle Commander. Furthermore, Bishop Kearney alumni are good citizens, dedicated volunteers and leaders in their communities.
For a half century, Bishop Kearney students, alumni, faculty and staff have lived the Kearney motto: “Do All Things Well.”
Come celebrate with us!
